GarrigAI
Build things worth using.
GarrigAI is a small, veteran-owned AI shop out of Texas. We consult and build — tools and automation for people's real problems.
Our core belief is that AI matters less for what it can do in a demo than for what people can actually do with it. That means getting hands-on: finding the part that wastes time, causes friction, or simply does not work well enough, then building something better.
Who we are
GarrigAI was founded by John Garrigues after a career spent solving technology problems in places where the systems had to work.
He spent 22 years in the Marine Corps and Army, then moved through software development and enterprise IT to senior executive roles at the Social Security Administration and NASA. He finished his government career as CIO of NASA Ames Research Center. Now he is back to building.
His brother, Chris, leads the idea and UX side of the company. Chris works directly with the people who will use each tool, learns what actually helps them, and shapes the product around that instead of around what looks good in a demo.
What we're building
Our first product is Sanity Check, a Mac app for an uncomfortable fact about AI:
We are building Sanity Check to help you get to the truth. Sanity Check puts several AI models on the same problem independently, then lets you compare where they agree, where they disagree, and where something deserves another look. You chair the conversation and steer where you like. The models make their cases. Sanity Check helps you find where an answer may be wrong while being wrong is still cheap.
We are also building smaller tools, experiments, and automations of our own — often because something annoyed us enough to fix it.
What comes next
Sanity Check is nearing launch. GarrigAI is just getting started.
